    The sound of silence

Yeah, sorry about that. :) We’re currently working on a few new tracks, and we have also gotten some offers to play some more gigs (one in Oslo, one in Trondheim (yay!)) — we’ll keep you updated!

Listen to Trashin’ (Elektrostat 2008 walk-off track)

So, we got some requests from people who wanted to know what the last track we played at Elektrostat 2008 was (the one we played while walking off stage). It is a track called Trashin’ and it features (almost exclusively) the wonderful piece of kit called the MIDINES which allows you to use the sound-chip in the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System - you know, that box you had under your TV in the 80s and earliy 90s :) with normal MIDI-signals to make music. It is just such a cool toy! Anyho, here is the track:

TAL - free VST(i) plugins that are actually good

Do you know of TAL (Togu Audio Line) already? If not, you should. They make a suite of very nice VST and VSTi plugins that you can use in your sequencer of choice (Logic, Sonar, Acid, Cubase, ProTools etc.)

    TAL U-No-62 VSTi plugin

Our favourites include the U-No-62 (a very nice Juno-106 clone) and the BassLine (a sweet SH-101 clone). You can get some great sounding stuff out of these small (and again: free!) plugins, so if you’re into music making, be sure to take them for a test-drive.

Here it is — a video of our gig at Elektrostat 2008. Please forgive the bad audio quality, as we didn’t have time to get equipment for proper recording, so the audio is a mix from the heavily distorted microphone on one of the video cameras and the line-mix. Rest assured: it is not your speakers or headset being slaughtered. :)

Anyho, we wanted to provide this for the people who asked for it despite of the bad sound quality, because it captured a gig we thought was really fun and exciting. So; if you are a die-hard audiophile just come to our next gig or get our EP from iTunes instead. :)

    Video coming

We recorded a pretty bad (sound-wise) video of the gig at Elektrostat, and will be posting it (or at least some of it) as soon as the capture/editing/blah is done. It will of course be posted here when it is done.
